Sounds and/or messeges for logouts?

Hey all,
How about putting a logout sound like a closing door, like there's a dorbell for login. Also, how about a messege coming up saying who's just logged out, just like there's one for who's just logged in?

That sounds like a good idea. We already have that QN thing where it tells how long ago someone sent a private QN and tells if that person has logged out, but the actual sound and message would be fun to have. As it is you still have to refresh the screen if you're reading QN's, so this log out sound would be one more way to know immediately what's going on. *smile*

wouldn't it be nice if people went through the posts before making a topic? that makes 3 or more of this topic! damn, but it's a good idea, but naturally, nothing will come of it

yeah it'd be ok, but its hardly going to be at the top of j's 2do list is it? i mean comon... most people qn everyone when there going to log out, so you don't REALLY need this.
BEN.

yall, just look at the list! or look at the people in your QN combo box. If you'll take a look at the other posts on this topic, you'll see why a log out sound or message won't happen

it's a good idea, and i was the one that brought it up sometime last year, and nothing was done.

Post 11 by laced-unlaced (Account disabled) on Tuesday, 01-Aug-2006 5:22:20

it's a really good idea. at least we have the message rite there in front of us, no going through big long lists of people, if it's really busy like 36 users then it might work

Post 12 by JH_Radio (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Thursday, 03-Aug-2006 12:57:23

Its a good idea, I agree it should be implamented.

I think so too.

that would drive me mad! there's people logging in all the time as is. but course, if ppl want it, we could have the option to turn those notifications off.

Post 15 by JH_Radio (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Friday, 04-Aug-2006 0:24:49

Yep, good idea, you should be able to turn them off too. Options is what I'm all about

Yeah, well if we're going to go with the person that said that people often send qns when they log out, they do that to when they log in so you could get rid of the log in thing. Yeah it's a great idea. Uterly fantastic. The sound wouldn't work though. Yeah, i'm all for the measage, but even now there are some sounds that aint used as it is.

I must say that I agree with having the logout message implimented. Sure, we could look at our qn user combo box thing, but when there are a ot of users, it makes things difficult. Perhaps, also, for those of you who think there should be an option to turn certain notifications off, that would be all well and good, too. Maybe, as a sort of insentave to sign up for premium membership, these notifications could be implimented there, until enough people want it moved to al the members, if you catch my meaning. I can understand why it hasn't happened, but it still would be a lot easier so that we know what is going right away, rather than having to look through a big long list and getting behind on qn's or something of that matter.

i agree, say if someone had to log out in a rush or something, a message could go off to alert others, who may, be sending that person quick notes.
